Yay! The breed is having it's first official contest! This is a great way to start out with your first Shrubb.
In the Train-A-Shrubb Challenge, everybody who participates gets 1 adolescent foal from the "round-up" from the Shrubb farm Starter Group. (That would be the mix of adult Shrubbs in a large(60 acre) range, males and females, and the resulting foals rounded up are considered "starters".) They are all 3 years old, trainable, and (hardly)rideable. The goal of this challenge is to train a wild Shrubb that has never been handled(except for branding and being rounded up into adoption corrals) into a perfectly good competition horse. The one who has the best storyline and the executed the images best wins a sum of 100 - To join the challenge, you have to post on this journal you're joining, and pay a 5 point adoption fee for your horse.
dAhub may be helpful if you have no points. Joining deadline is April 27th, because I'm going to make as many Shrubbs as people who join and then you still have time to adopt.
- To begin, you have to claim your foal between April 16th and May 1st. There will be all colors of horses, but all natural colors. But you must use the halter style(color can be changed) and stick to the design on the foal.
- The challenge deadline is on July 17th, so all required drawings and stories must be completed by then or the Shrubb is rehomed. If you complete all of the tasks and drawings, you are allowed to keep the Shrubb.
- Each drawing must be accompanied by a 3 or more paragraph story. Remember, this will affect your overall score, so make it go along with the image well!
You must do each of the following drawings, in any medium you want, in order with the foal you adopt. You are not allowed to use linearts, but you may trace stock if the owner allows.
